India vs Pakistan, T20 World Cup: Former players from both sides of the border praised Pakistan for the clinical manner in which they beat India and this broke a winless run in World Cups against their arch-rivals.

Pakistan ended their winless run against India in World Cup matches in spectacular fashion on Sunday, winning the opening fixture of the 2021 T20 World Cup by 10 wickets. Captain Babar Azam and opening partner Mohammad Rizwan helped Pakistan chase down a target of 152 without losing a wicket after the bowlers led by Shaheen Afridi limited India to 151/7. Congratulations to the Pakistan Team & esp to Babar Azam who led from the front, as well as to the brilliant performances of Rizwan & Shaheen Afridi. The nation is proud of you all. pic.twitter.com/ygoOVTu37l Finally the jinx is over winning against India in World Cups. Am sure they will learn from their mistakes and come back stronger @BCCI But I must compliment Pakistan for their Brilliant win . They were a better team today @TheRealPCB #INDvPAK Give credit where it’s due. Pakistan played better today. It was a complete team effort. As for India nothing is lost there is still time to learn from these mistakes and move forward. #INDvPAK #T20WorldCup Of course all of us are disappointed but let’s keep our hopes and heads high.
