Immanuel Quickley looks completely different in second point guard chance
NY Post
LAS VEGAS — After a brutal shooting performance in Sunday’s summer-league opener, Immanuel Quickley responded with panache, scoring 32 points with eight assists as the Knicks beat the Pacers, 94-86, at UNLV on Monday.
Quickley started at point guard a second straight game and looked a lot more comfortable than in Sunday’s summer-league opener when he shot 5-of-17 overall and 2-of-11 from 3. The Second-Team All-Rookie drilled 4-of-12 3-pointers and finished 11-of-21 overall. Obi Toppin, the 2020 first-round pick, scored 21 points in a productive performance. Neither Quickley nor Toppin had the benefit of Summer League last season after being drafted in November because of the pandemic.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.
