T20 World Cup in the UAE: Afghanistan will look to make their country proud at the premier T20 tournament amid political turmoil back home. Mohammad Nabi has been named the captain of the side that will look to ride on Rashid Khan's brilliance to make waves.

Afghanistan head into the T20 World Cup amid political turmoil back home. However, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has stressed that the players will give their best to make sure the senior national team makes the world take notice of their T20 firepower in the UAE.

Afghanistan also made changes to their initial squad and settled on Mohammad Nabi to lead the team at the T20 World Cup. The Asian side will be part of the Super 12 as they sealed the automatic qualification unlike Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
