New research reveals 25% of college students with perfect 4.0 GPAs can't do middle school math, exposing how grade inflation misleads families about academic preparedness.
The takeaway: grades alone often tell students, their parents and colleges very little about a student’s actual academic preparedness. David Blobaum is a nationally recognized expert in the entrance exam and college admissions industry. He serves on the Board of Directors and is the director of outreach for the National Test Prep Association, a nonprofit that works to support the appropriate use of testing in admissions.

She is a top performer at her school but scored in the 1100s."
