Jos Buttler holds the orannge cap, having scored 629 runs, the most in the IPL 2022. The right-hander piled up the runs in his 14 innings for Rajasthan Royals at an average of 48.38.
Gujarat Titans' Rahul Tewatia lauded former teammate Jos Buttler of Rajasthan Royals ahead of Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday (May 24).
Tewatia played for Rajasthan Royals between 2020-2021 before the franchise released him ahead of the 2022 mega auction. The Royals, however, retained Buttler, who has been with the Rajasthan-based side since 2018.
Gujarat Titans shared a video wherein three former Royals - Tewatia, David Miller and Varun Aaron - reminisced about the time they spent with the Rajasthan Royals.
"He (Buttler) is as calm off the field as he is aggressive with the bat," said Tewatia. "I hope he retains the orange cap but doesn't score against us."
Miller, too, echoed Tewatia's words, adding, "(He has been) very solid. The way he has been batting is incredible this season.
