Hurricane Nicole on verge of hitting Florida

Hurricane Nicole was within striking distance of Florida's east coast early Thursday and was expected to make landfall overnight.
The storm strengthened into a hurricane Wednesday evening as it pounded the Bahamas, and U.S. officials ordered evacuations that included former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago club.
It's a rare November hurricane for storm-weary Florida, where only two such hurricanes have made landfall since recordkeeping began in 1853 - the 1935 Yankee Hurricane and Hurricane Kate in 1985.

The Trump administration deployed ICE and other Homeland Security agents to 14 of the nation's airports on Monday to help shuttle passengers through overcrowded TSA checkpoints.
