The vampires in “Sinners” may avoid silver, but they struck gold at the 2026 Oscars.
Ryan Coogler's record-breaking horror film walked away with four wins on Sunday night, March 15.
Since its release last year, the movie, which follows twins Smoke and Stack (Michael B. Jordan) as they return to their small town in Mississippi to start a juke joint, has become a cultural phenomenon.
USA TODAY’s movie critic Brian Truitt wrote, “With ‘Sinners,’ an inimitable auteur makes the most of every surrealist detail and crafts a fright fest that’s musical and meaningful, mesmerizing and memorable.”
The film reigned supreme with 16 nominations at this year’s Oscars, the most in the award show’s history. The nods include best actor, supporting actress, supporting actor, and best picture.
