After five years away, Tom Holland's Peter Parker is swinging back into action, and some fan-favorite Marvel characters will be joining him.
The first trailer for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," in which Holland returns as the web slinger opposite Mark Ruffalo's Hulk and Jon Bernthal's Punisher, has finally debuted.
"Brand New Day" picks up four years after the events of 2021's "Spider-Man: No Way Home," which ended with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) casting a spell that caused the world to lose its memories of Peter Parker.
The footage opens with Peter, now living alone, watching video of his former girlfriend MJ (Zendaya) and best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon), who still don't remember him. Peter is seen reading a note that he wrote, presumably to MJ, explaining that they used to know each other. "Something bad was going to happen, and the only way to stop it was to make everyone forget about me," he says.
Later, we see Peter reunite at a party with MJ, who thinks they're meeting for the first time. MJ also appears to have a new boyfriend, who is shown as Peter says that "sometimes, Spider-Man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks Peter Parker's heart."
