How can Chelsea be in title race with so many Covid-19 cases, injuries, says manager Tomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel blamed Chelsea's 1-1 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion, which turned out to be the latest blow to their dwindling title chances, on refereeing issues, the team's worsening injury crisis and the number of positive Covid-19 cases within the club.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel said that talks of his club chasing the title is "stupid" considering the injuries and the number of Covid-19 cases they are dealing with. Tuchel also lashed out at refereeing decisions during their 1-1 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion, which put them eight points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Chelsea are currently second but third-placed Liverpool trail them by just one point and have a game in hand.
