An archaeological excavation in Kaunos, Turkey, uncovered a Roman hospital from the 3rd century that was later converted into a Christian sanctuary during the 6th century.

The ruins were found in the ancient city of Kaunos, in southwestern Turkey's Muğla Province. They were inside a monastery area within the city's walls.
