
Here's who's running so far in the federal election in Hamilton, Burlington, Niagara, Brant and area

Election day in Canada is fast approaching after Liberal leader Mark Carney officially asked Gov. Gen. Mary Simon on Sunday to dissolve parliament.
Voters have until April 28 to make their choice.
Below is a list of candidates running, so far, from the four major parties in ridings in Hamilton, Burlington, Niagara, Brant and surrounding areas.
Some riding boundaries in Hamilton and surrounding areas have changed slightly since the last election. Find out which riding you're in by visiting the Elections Canada website.

The candidates are listed in alphabetical order according to their party's name.
This riding encompasses the City of Brantford, part of Brant County, including Onondaga and Burtch, as well as Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
This riding encapsulates most of the City of Burlington, except for parts of the city's north end.
This riding includes parts of the County of Brant, including Paris and St. George, and parts of the City of Hamilton, including Waterdown, Rockton, Binbrook and Mount Hope.
Haldimand-Norfolk covers both counties and communities in it including Delhi, Simcoe, Port Dover, Townsend, Cayuga and Caledonia.
Hamilton Centre encompasses the lower city and includes the Hamilton Harbour, north of the Niagara Escarpment, between Highway 403 and Parkdale Avenue/the Red Hill Valley Parkway.
This riding represents the city's east end, Stoney Creek and Winona.
Hamilton Mountain covers most of the city's south, between the Niagara Escarpment and a transmission line south of Rymal Road.
This riding includes some areas of the West Mountain in Hamilton as well as areas south of a Canadian National Railway line north of Governor's Road such as Ancaster and Dundas and communities like Copetown and Westdale.
