IMD issues heavy rain alert for six Telangana districts, with thunderstorms and gusty winds expected across the state onm June 11
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for six Telangana districts for Wednesday (June 11, 2025).
According to an IMD bulletin, heavy rainfall is expected at isolated areas in Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, and Jogulamba Gadwal districts. The bulletin also warned of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds likely to affect isolated areas across all districts of Telangana.
For Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, the IMD has forecast a generally cloudy sky over the next 24 hours. The city is expected to experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers, along with gusty winds. Hazy conditions are likely to prevail during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Hyderabad are projected to be around 32°C and 23°C, respectively, as per the bulletin.
