Tribune News NetworkDohaTop healthcare officials in Qatar have congratulated Qatar and its leadership on Qatar National Day (QND) while highlighting the achievements the country has made in health and other sectors. Senior officials from Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) have commended Qatar for meeting the demand for high standard healthcare services for citizens and residents. Here are excerpts of what some of the healthcare leaders said on the occasion:Dr Abdulla Al Ansari, HMC’s chief medical officer Celebrating Qatar National Day (QND) is an opportunity for the people of Qatar to pay tribute to their generous country and to express their gratitude and loyalty to their homeland and recognise the blessings bestowed upon all Qatari generations. On this great and memorable occasion and on behalf of my colleagues at HMC, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations and felicitations to the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Father Amir His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Deputy Amir His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani and to the Qatari people. This year’s slogan for Qatar National Day celebrations ‘ANCESTRAL MEADOWS: A MATTER OF TRUST’ is an opportunity to recall our glorious history and the determined efforts made by Qatar’s wise leaders since the era of the founder of Qatar, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani (may Allah rest his soul in peace) who, with their loyal people, laid the foundations of the glorious State of Qatar on strong moral principles that have been passed down through generations. As we celebrate QND, it is important to remind everyone that all countries worldwide are still facing the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences on the health of individuals. Qatar’s health sector will continue its successful efforts to confront the pandemic, which helped Qatar reduce the number of daily infections and have one of the lowest rates of COVID-19-related deaths in the world. Qatar has worked under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir to manage this situation wisely and with a high ability, which contributed to protecting the health of our society and the mitigation of the impact of the pandemic on all aspects of life.Dr Abdullatif Al Khal, HMC’s deputy chief medical officerQatar National Day is a special occasion for Qataris, who reiterate their loyalty and belonging to their beloved Qatar. With each passing day, Qatar witnesses great achievements and makes big strides in development that underpin the pillars of contemporary Qatar building on the foundations laid by the late Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammad bin Thani, may his soul rest in peace, who sponsored and nurtured the growth of the country. For decades, our wise leadership has been inspired by the noble values, firm belief in our religion, and rich heritage, in promoting the development of Qatar.Ali Abdullah Al Janahi, HMC’s acting chief medical officer and chief of HMC Tertiary Hospitals GroupAs we celebrate Qatar National Day this year, our beloved Qatar is moving forward steadily and confidently towards achieving the goals of Vision 2030 and fulfilling the aspirations of the Qatari people for progress, prosperity, development and stability. As we enjoy the fruits of progress and development in all walks of life in our beloved Qatar, our country has become a beacon of prosperity which is visible in the four corners of the world. We should keep up the good work of developing our country and contributing to the advancement of humanity. On this precious occasion, we should recognise the great achievements of the forefathers who built this country on love and loyalty and led by example and passed the nation’s banner to predecessor generations. Dr Yousuf Al Maslamani, HMC’s Hamad General Hospital medical director Qatar is proceeding with steady and confident steps towards building a comprehensive renaissance according to the foundations of building a modern state, inspired by the spirit of construction established by the founder Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammad Bin Thani. Celebrating QND is an occasion to renew the spirit of loyalty and belonging to this country. I wish to extend my congratulations and greetings to the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Father Amir His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Deputy Amir His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, and to all the people of Qatar, asking Allah Almighty to bestow this national occasion with prosperity, safety and stability for our country. With the remarkable development of the healthcare sector in Qatar year by year, HMC continues the development journey for more than 40 years, according to a planned strategy to improve the quality of provided healthcare. Nasser Saeed Al Naimi, deputy chief quality officer, director of Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute Qatar National Day is an important occasion to highlight the achievements of Qatar in all fields under the wise leadership of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and to look forward to the future that holds meanings of determination and insistence to build the nation and to add more gains, achievements and development. Qatar National Day slogan for this year indicates the interest of the State of Qatar to preserve the land and sea environment in Qatar which has been enhanced by Qatar joining a number of international agreements that protect the climate and the international environment. The advancement achieved by Qatar represents a comprehensive renaissance in industry, education, social and human development as well as environment. This was achieved with the support of an efficient and professional human force of both citizens and residents. Our celebration of Qatar National Day represents our pride towards the success we have achieved and the comprehensive renaissance and also motivates us to put in more efforts and dedication to elevate the nation and raising its status among the comity of nations. Fatima Haider, HMC chief human resources officerQatar National Day renews the determination of each citizen to do everything they can for the sake of the country and its progress. The National Day is an occasion dear to the heart of all Qataris, which consolidate loyalty to the state and renew allegiance to the wise leadership of the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.QND 2021 slogan is a good example of the care of the state and the Qatari citizen to preserve the land and marine environment, as the Qataris took care of their country and built their homes out of stones and animal hair while preserving the environmental resources and took care of the gardens and green spaces.I wish to commend Qatar’s efforts to develop health services that citizens and residents receive year after year. Without the unlimited support provided by the state to HMC as its the main care provider in the country, the corporation would never be able to achieve these achievements and build new basics every year that benefit the health services sector in the country.Dr Hanadi Khamis Al Hamad, medical director of Rumailah Hospital and Qatar Rehabilitation Institute and chairperson for the Department of Geriatrics and Long-Term Care Qatar National Day 2021 slogan is the truest expression of the extent of efforts and determination to build a great country by Qataris under the banner of their righteous leaders throughout history to build this country and preserve its dignity and stability. The celebration of the National Day annually is considered an occasion that is dear to every citizen, through which they seek to work on increasing Qatar’s balance of achievements by exerting efforts and working with both citizens and residents. It’s also an opportunity to renew loyalty to this dear country. This year’s slogan is a clear example of appreciation of the current generation for the efforts of both parents and the elderly who have done everything to build and raise the nation. Preserving the environment within the noble goals represents appreciation and respect for the legacy of our ancestors and completion of their journey in construction and development.Dr Enas Al Kuwari, chair of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) Qatar makes a new history every year as it celebrates its National Day to commemorate the anniversary of the founding of the state. The achievements made by the people of Qatar in the various sectors make us feel very proud on this glorious day. The slogan for Qatar National Day 2021, which is ‘Ancestral Meadows: A matter of trust’, represents an opportunity for us to express yet again our pride in this land and in the Qatari environment, its land and sea. Preserving the environment is a shared responsibility of everyone who lives in this country as an expression of our loyalty and respect to the legacy of our ancestors and in recognition to their role in founding and preserving our beloved country. We all should work together to preserve this environment and protect it for the future generations.Ali Al Khater, chair of the Supreme Healthcare Communications Committee at the Ministry of Public Health and chief communications officer at HMCQatar National Day is a special occasion for Qataris, as on this day the loyalty and belonging to our beloved Qatar is reiterated. This country has witnessed a remarkable growth and development since it was founded by the late Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammad bin Thani, may his soul rest in peace, who sponsored and nurtured the growth of the country. I would like to congratulate Qatar’s leadership, represented by the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Father Amir His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Deputy Amir His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, and the people of Qatar wishing them all happy and prosperous return of the day.I wish to emphasise the efforts exerted by the healthcare sector to keep pace with the ongoing overall development in Qatar and meet the demand for high standard healthcare services.
