HC points to interpolation in Sameer Wankhede’s birth certificate tweeted by Nawab Malik

The Bombay High Court on Friday reserved its order on interim relief sought by NCB officer Sameer Wankhede's father in a defamation suit against NCP Minister Nawab Malik.

The Bombay High Court on Friday reserved its order on interim relief sought by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede's father, Dnyandev Wankhede, in a defamation suit against NCP Minister Nawab Malik.

Advocate Arshad Shaikh, appearing for Wankhede, placed various documents before the court to prove that Dnyandev Wankhede is a Hindu and not a Muslim, as claimed by Nawab Malik. Wankhede's father filed an affidavit listing out 28 documents to establish that his name was 'Dnyandev' and not 'Dawood' as alleged by the NCP leader.
