IPL 2022 Final: David Miller breathed a new lease of life during his stint for Gujarat Titans, playing a key role in their title-winning campaign. Miller reveled in the finisher's role for Hardik Pandya's side.

Gujarat Titans batter David Miller said the IPL 2022 season has been one of his most memorable stints in the Indian Premier League, talking up the morale in the winning camp. Miller played a key role in helping Gujarat script history as they won the coveted crown in their maiden season.

David Miller scored 481 runs in 16 matches at a staggering strike rate of 142.73 for Gujarat Titans. Miller has scored in excess of 350 runs in 3 successive seasons from 2013 to 2015 but he managed to go past the 200-run mark only once in the next 6 years.

Miller was bought for Rs 3 crore by Gujarat Titans but not many would have expected the South African star to be the Most Valuable Player for the Titans. Miller reveled in the finisher's role for Gujarat, getting those runs at an average of close to 70.

"It's been one of my most memorable seasons, just in terms of the team. As I have said so many times before, there have been so many contributors for the team throughout the competition. Obviously being the underdogs throughout the competition, it's really nice to lift the trophy. Very, very memorable for me," Miller told IPLT20.com in interaction with Rashid Khan.

Miller was exceptional against spin and the left-handed big-hitter took the attack to Rajasthan Royals' spinners in the Qualifier 1 and Sunday's final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Miller scored 206 runs against spin and averaged in excess of 100 against spinners in IPL 2022. The South Africa star said he had worked tremendously hard on facing spin over the last 2-3 years and that he is delighted that it has paid off.

"I started working hard. I have failed so many times, batting ni the middle order is difficult with the run rate and the fact that every situation is very different and give myself the best chance and stay calm. \
