Greenland authorities suspend search for missing foreign aircraft
CBC
The search for a suspected missing foreign aircraft near Nuuk, Greenland, has been suspended for the night.
Naviair, a state-owned company providing air traffic service, told CBC News it received a report Saturday around 4 p.m. local time that a small, single-engine aircraft had gone missing.
Naviair, in collaboration with the Arctic Command and police, have spent the day searching for the missing plane.
In a post on its website, Naviair said the search has been suspended due to poor visibility and bad weather conditions, though it aims to resume the search tomorrow morning.
Naviair did not have any further details about where the plane originated from, or who was on board.

With its emergency shelter beds frequently running at 50 per cent over capacity and demand so great that it's forced to refer some women escaping domestic violence elsewhere, Gillian's Place in St. Catharines will soon be able to offer a broader range of services to more victims of gender-based violence.
