
Govt taking cautious, balanced approach to normalise int'l flight ops: Jyotiraditya Scindia

In light of the concerns sparked by the Omicron variant of coronavirus, the government is adopting a cautious approach in resuming international flight operations, said Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
The international travel and tourism sector in India will have to wait longer for a post-covid revival as the Union government is adopting a cautious approach to restarting international commercial passenger flight operations in light of the concerns sparked by the Omicron variant of coronavirus.
Responding to a question from YSRCP MP Kotagiri Sridhar, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the Omicron variant has raised concerns across the world which is why India, too, needed to be careful.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
