Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot stresses role of youth in societal development

Governor Gehlot praises KSOU for empowering students, emphasizing education's transformative power and youth's role in societal development.
Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot called upon students to bring about positive changes in society and develop a deeper understanding of environmental concerns.
He was speaking at the 20th annual convocation of the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) here on Thursday.
Emphasising the transformative power of education, Mr. Gehlot praised KSOU for providing education to thousands of students every year and supporting the vision of “Viksit Bharat-2047“ (Developed India-2047). He acknowledged that KSOU has opened doors for learning to all, empowering countless individuals to realise their dreams.
The Governor stressed that education is a lifelong journey, and the knowledge gained must be shared to enlighten others and contribute positively to society.
Highlighting the pivotal role of youth in realising the vision of “Atma Nirbhar Bharat” (Self-Reliant India), the Governor quoted Swami Vivekananda, urging young people to remain steadfast in pursuing their goals.
He encouraged the youth to view challenges and failures as stepping stones to success, emphasising the importance of resilience and perseverance. Mr. Gehlot also lauded KSOU for its remarkable contribution over the last two decades, having educated lakhs of students and provided opportunities for lifelong learning.
He reiterated that through continuous learning and dedication, the youth can shape a better future for the nation.
