GOP Kentucky Election Chief Has To Issue Painfully Basic Reminder On Voting Day: ‘We’re Getting Calls…’

“Have I mentioned my repeated call for civic education,” Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams wrote in a follow-up post.
Kentucky didn’t hold elections on Tuesday.
But that didn’t stop some confused voters from reportedly calling the office of the state’s top election official to ask why polling stations were closed.
Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams (R) felt compelled to set the record straight via his official, verified account on X, formerly Twitter:
“We’re getting calls about polls being closed. They are closed because we do not have elections today. Kentucky votes next year. You cannot vote today in Kentucky for the mayor of New York City or the Governor of Virginia. Sorry.”
About an hour later, Adams followed up: “Have I mentioned my repeated call for civic education.”
