Gold, Silver Prices Today: On Thursday, March 31, 2022, both gold and silver are trading on the lower side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Check the latest city-wise prices here.
Both gold and silver are trading on the lower side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
Witnessing a marginal drop of Rs 113 or 0.22 per cent, gold futures maturing on June 3, 2022, are retailing at Rs 51,699 per 10 grams on the MCX.
Meanwhile, the rate of silver futures, maturing on May 5, 2022, stood at Rs 67,187 per kg, recording a drop of 0.64 per cent or Rs 433.
Notably, the prices of gold and silver stood at Rs 51,776 per 10 grams and Rs 67,406 per kg respectively when the market closed on March 30.
As per Reuters, gold inched lower on Thursday but prices were set for their biggest quarterly gain since September 2020, as the Russia-Ukraine conflict lifted demand for the safe-haven metal.
As per the latest metal report, spot gold was down 0.3 percent at $1,926.46 per ounce. Meanwhile, U.S. gold futures were down 0.4 percent at $1,931.00. Notably, the metal has gained about 5.6 percent so far in the quarter and 1 percent in the month.
In addition to this, spot silver fell 0.7 percent to $24.67 per ounce
