Both gold and silver are retailing on the lower side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Thursday. Check the latest prices here.
For the third time in a row, the gold and silver were retailing on the lower side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on September 15. The gold futures, maturing on October 5, recorded a dip of Rs 198 or 0.40 per cent. The price of gold stood at Rs 49,942 per 10 grams on the MCX.
Meanwhile, silver futures also recorded a dip on the MCX on Thursday. The silver futures, maturing on December 5, 2022, witnessed a dip of Rs 68 or 0.12 per cent on the MCX, trading at Rs 56,890 per kg.
Yesterday, when the market closed, gold futures were retailing at Rs 50,018 per 10 grams whereas silver was at Rs 56,986 per kg on the MCX.
In India, gold and silver prices depend on the value of the rupee against the dollar, and global demand plays a key role in determining the trends observed in the rate of precious metals etc.
