Geeta, the deaf and mute woman, who had mistakenly crossed over to Pakistan as a child and was brought back to India after 12 years in 2015, may have finally found her family in Maharashtra.
Geeta, the deaf and mute woman, who had mistakenly crossed over to Pakistan as a child and was brought back to India after 12 years in 2015, may have finally found her family in Maharashtra. Referring to the Edhi Trust in Pakistan, Pakistan-based newspaper The Dawn reported that Geeta has been in touch with the welfare organisation in Pakistan and had recently told them that she has finally found her family after over five years since her return to India. The Dawn reported that Bilquees Edhi the wife of late Abdul Sattar Edhi, who runs the world famous Edhi Welfare Trust and who developed a close bond with Geeta, said the Indian girl had finally been reunited with her real mother in Maharashtra state.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
