
Gadkari and Kishan Reddy to launch national highway projects worth ₹5,413 crore in Telangana on May 5

Union Ministers to inaugurate ₹5,413 crore national highway projects in Hyderabad and Adilabad, including major infrastructure developments.
Union Roads, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy will inaugurate national highway projects worth ₹5,413 crore in Hyderabad and Adilabad on May 5.
The Adilabad leg of programme covers inaugurations of 123 km worth ₹3,694 crore and laying of foundation stones of 8.1 km worth ₹168.47 crore totalling ₹3,862 crore. The Hyderabad leg of programme covers inaugurations of 22.57 km worth ₹895.64 crore and laying of foundation stones of 20.87 km worth ₹657.27 crore totalling ₹1,552.91 crore.
A statement said the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has in principle agreed to declare the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road (Southern Portion) as a National Highway subject to State government bearing 50% of the land acquisition cost. Cost of construction is pegged at about ₹13,000 crore and 50% of land acquisition cost is estimated at about ₹2,230 crore.
Mr. Kishan Reddy has requested for early Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee (PPPAC) and Cabinet approval of the project and signing of financial tripartite agreement for ‘Greenfield Regional Express Highway on Northern side of Hyderabad (HRRR-NP)‘.
