Foundation of Ayodhya Ram Mandir likely to be completed by October: Trust

The foundation of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is likely to be completed by October this year as the construction work is going on in full swing, a key functionary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra said. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra is the trust that has been entrusted with construction of the temple. General secretary of the trust Champat Rai said the construction work is being carried out in two shifts of 12 hours each. "About 1.2 lakh square meters of the soil has been dug out. It takes four-five days to place a one-foot thick layer and compact it with a roller. We expect the foundation work to be completed by October," he said.
