Former U.S. Senator Names Top Trump Official With ‘No Political Antenna’ Who Could Doom Him

He may end up costing "Donald Trump and his party lots of seats in Congress," warned Claire McCaskill.
Former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) on Wednesday attributed the growing public backlash to the Trump administration’s anti-immigration crackdown to the architect of the policy, White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller.
“We always forget to mention how narrow Stephen Miller’s political experience is,” McCaskill told MS NOW’s “Deadline: White House” anchor Nicolle Wallace.
The ex-lawmaker listed the 40-year-old Miller’s relatively brief work experience before becoming one of President Donald Trump’s most trusted and controversial aides: “Michele Bachmann’s presidential campaign, immigration work for Jeff Sessions in the Senate and Donald Trump.”
She then suggested Miller was out of his depth when it came to reading the polling tea leaves.
“He clearly does not have a political antenna,” McCaskill argued.
