Ford Explorer cleared in federal exhaust investigation

NHTSA has finished a six-year probe into complaints that the 2011-2017 Ford Explorer was possibly allowing too much carbon monoxide into the cabin.
Three deaths and 657 injuries had been reported that were allegedly linked to exhaust fumes entering the cabin. Gary Gastelu is Fox News Digital's automotive editor.
Many of the complaints involved Explorer-based Police vehicles.
