Flights cancelled, stuck in Leh: Jyotiraditya Scindia steps in to help 24 senior citizens

Civil Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia stepped in to help 24 senior citizens from Maharashtra, who were left stranded in Leh after flight cancellations.
As many as 24 senior citizens from Maharashtra were left stranded in Leh after their flights got cancelled due to unfavourable weather on Friday. In a video, the tourists claimed that a few among them have health complications.
They further claimed that all flights till August 3 had been completely booked and they could not afford to stay in Leh for another week.
"I request minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union government to speak with IndiGo and GoFirst to arrange flights to Mumbai or Pune," said one of the stranded tourists.

As the video went viral, Union Civil Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia stepped in and got in touch with IndiGo and GoFirst, the airlines who had cancelled the flights from Leh to Mumbai and Pune due to unfavourable flying conditions.
