A firefighter was injured while crews tackled a house fire amidst the snow in Brampton early Sunday morning, said Brampton Fire.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 2:54 a.m. for a house fire near Fernbrook Crescent and Kenpark Avenue.
Heavy flames were coming out of the second floor of the home, said Brampton Fire, adding crews struggled to make entry due to the high heat at first and later when the second floor had begun to collapse.
A firefighter suffered an injury to his leg and was transported to hospital.
The home is believed to be unoccupied as fire crews didn’t see furniture inside.
