Fire on first floor of Glengarry Avenue building now under control: Firefighters

Windsor police and firefighters responded to a fire in the 300 block of Glengarry Avenue Friday morning.
Windsor Fire and Rescue Services says there was a fire on the main floor of the building that is now under control. Crews are working on ventilation.
In a social media post, police said University Avenue was closed between McDougall and Aylmer, while Glengarry will be closed from University to Wyandotte. The roads have since reopened.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
