The Sadasivpet Station Fire Officer, Bhikshapati, said that the fire originated on the ground floor of the cellar plus G+3 building, affecting the reception and office room on the floor. Preliminary findings suggest that a short circuit may have triggered the fire. However, officials said a detailed investigation is under way to ascertain the exact cause.
Though described as a relatively small fire, thick smoke quickly filled the premises, causing alarm among local residents who noticed thick plumes rising from the structure. The Fire Department personnel rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control by noon. Further investigation is underway.
