FDA announces new breast implant restrictions, orders stronger warnings

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Wednesday that it had taken new actions to strengthen breast implant risk communication.
First, the FDA wrote that it had issued orders restricting the sale and distribution of breast implants to help ensure that patients considering them are provided with adequate risk information.
Secondly, the agency said that it had approved new labeling for all legally marketed breast implants.
