
'Father' of Nutella, world's most famous hazelnut spread, dies at 97

Francesco Rivella, dubbed the "Father of Nutella" for his role in creating the world's most famous hazelnut spread, died on Valentine's Day at the age of 97.
Rivella began working at Ferrero – an Italian chocolate and confectionary company – in 1952, a dozen years before Nutella was introduced to the world, news agency Jam Press reported. Peter Burke is a lifestyle editor with Fox News Digital.
He was 25 and was fresh from earning his degree in bromatological chemistry in Turin.
