Archaeologists have unearthed two “exceptional" ancient temples in the historic ancient city of Poseidonia Paestum, a settlement in Magna Graecia in Italy.
Sarah Rumpf-Whitten is a breaking news writer for Fox News Digital and Fox Business.
Officials said that the archaeological sight will shed a light on the origins and urban development of the Magna Graecia polis, which refers to the coastal areas of southern Italy. She is a native of Massachusetts and is based in Orlando, Florida.
The two large temples were close to the city walls and a few hundred meters from the sea, officials said. Story tips and ideas can be sent to sarah.rumpf@fox.com and on X: @s_rumpfwhitten.
