Even defectors can return to Karnataka Congress: Shivakumar goes against Siddaramaiah’s stand

Shivakumar has said anyone can join Karnataka Congress in a stand that goes against Siddaramaiah, who had said the party should close its doors on the defectors.

In a stand that goes against former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah’s words of closing the doors on Congress defectors, state party chief DK Shivakumar has said that anyone, including the 17 defectors who left the party, can rejoin and KPCC will consider the applications. Karnataka Congress president DK Shivakumar said, "All those individuals who are willing to accept the ideology of Congress can apply to join the party. I’m not addressing just those 17 individuals here. The party will consider all applications and take a final decision in its best interest."
