The World Health Organisation (WHO) has come down hard on the UEFA Euro 2020 football tournament and blamed it for the rising Covid-19 cases in Europe since it began on June 12. WHO emergency officer Catherine Smallwood explained how the quadrennial football event has made people flock the host stadiums, bars, pubs and other public places where matches are being screened without paying any attention to social distancing or other Covid-19 protocols.
