Euro 2020: Italy defender Leonardo Spinazzola suffered a possible Achilles injury and was in tears as he was being stretched off during the quarter-final win over Belgium last week.

Italy defender Leonardo Spinazzola will be out of action for a few months after suffering a possible Achilles injury in their Euro 2020 quarter-final against Belgium on Friday, Roma's newly appointed coach Jose Mourinho said. Left-back Leonardo Spinazzola, who terrorised opposition defence with his foray into the attacking third, was reduced to tears when he pulled up while charging along the flanks during the game against Belgium. He had to be stretchered off the pitch and was replaced by Emerson Palmieri.
