Euro 2020: Denmark created plenty of chances but they were not able to find the back of the net on Saturday. Finland stunned the hosts on their European Championship debut which was marred by Christian Eriksen's collapse on the pitch.

Finland made sure there was an upset as early as the second day of Euro 2020 as they defeated Denmark 1-0 in Copenhagen. In their first-ever appearance at European Championship, Finland secured 3 points in their Group B match that was overshadowed by Christian Eriksen's shocking collapse on the pitch. The Group B game at the Parken Stadium, played in front of close to 16,000 spectators, was suspended towards the end of the first half after Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch. Eriksen was administered CPR even as his Denmark teammates formed a ring around him while he was receiving treatment. Fans were reduced to tears and players were distraught as Eriksen suffered the nasty collapse. Eriksen's family, which was at the stadium, rushed to the pitch to check on the midfielder who was stretchered off the field. Fortunately, Eriksen, UEFA confirmed, was stable and awake at the Copenhagen hospital where he was receiving treatment.
