EPS predicts DMK’s fall in two years; you think I got power by crawling in Kuvathur resort, replies MK Stalin

Replying to EPS’ comment about DMK losing power in two years, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin launched a scathing attack on the opposition leader and asked him, ‘You think I came to power by crawling in Kuvathur resort’.
While campaigning in Tamil Nadu’s Karur a few days ago, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader Edappadi K Palaniswami claimed that Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) would lose power in 2 years.
On Monday, February 14, CM Stalin responded to this, by saying, ‘You think I came to power by crawling in Kuvathur resort?’
With Tamil Nadu gearing up for the urban local body elections to be conducted on February 19, the situation has turned tense between DMK and AIADMK.
Opposition leader and AIADMK coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami claimed that by 2024, state elections will be called for under the ‘One Nation, One Election Policy’. He added that within 27 no-moon days, the DMK government will lose its power.
EPS further blamed DMK for trying to stall the elections but couldn’t succeed due to the Supreme Court’s interference.
Chief Minister MK Stalin replied to EPS’ comments and asked whether EPS was trying to threaten Stalin.
Stalin retaliated and questioned EPS, “are you trying to threaten me? Don’t even dream about it and remember I’ve faced MISA. You think I came to power by crawling in Kuvathur resort? You touched Sasikala’s feet and then betrayed her after coming to power and then kept BJP’s feet on your head for four years to secure your seat.”
