Environment Canada ends tornado watches, warnings for northern N.B.

There are no longer any tornado watches and warnings for New Brunswick.
Environment Canada warned northern New Brunswick of the prospect of tornadoes late Sunday afternoon.
Campbellton and Restigouche County regions were of particular concern, according to the alert.
The lone warning, for the western half of Restigouche County, was later changed to a thunderstorm warning and a tornado watch.
As of 6:30 p.m., a tornado watch was in effect for the Mount Carleton-Renous highway area, and the eastern half of Restigouche County and Bathurst/Chaleur.
However, by 7 p.m., the tornado watches were over and there were six areas under thunderstorm watches.

Heat warnings remain in effect across the province, with most areas seeing temperatures in the 30-33 C range with overnight lows only expected to dip to 18-20 C.
