Standing radiant under the spotlight, the newly crowned Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, carries with her not just a title but a powerful story of resilience, purpose, and global compassion. In an exclusive conversation with The Hindu, Miss World 2025 reflects on her moments after her historic win in Hyderabad.

It is overwhelming in the best possible way. I had surgery to remove a benign tumour when I was very young. It was not breast cancer, but it came dangerously close, and going through that was emotionally intense. That chapter of my life influenced my Beauty With A Purpose initiative. Since then, I have worked closely with patients and doctors, and the strength I saw in them gave me strength too. It inspired me to dedicate myself to ensuring women around the world have access to proper healthcare. Today, standing here with this crown, it feels like that purpose has come full circle.

It is such a proud moment, not just for me, but for Thailand. To bring home the country’s very first Miss World title is incredibly emotional. I know everyone back home is celebrating, and I feel so grateful for the support I have received from my family, my team, and my nation. I cannot wait to return and share this crown with them in person.

It’s been an unforgettable journey. Telangana is breathtaking, the culture, the architecture, the natural beauty but what touched me most was the warmth of the people. Whether it was the locals or my fellow contestants, we shared so many meaningful moments together. I will be taking home not just stories, but memories that will stay with me forever.
