England vs India: Suryakumar Yadav registered the second highest score by an Indian in T20Is when he scored 117 against England in Nottingham on Sunday.
Star batter Surykumar Yadav on Sunday registered the second-highest score by an Indian in the T20 International during his counterattacking 117-run knock against England in the third T20I at Trent Bridge. Suryakumar fell one run short of Rohit Sharma's 118, which is the highest individual score by an Indian in the T20Is.
Surya became the fifth Indian batter to reach the three-figure mark. India captain Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, KL Rahul, and Deepak Hooda had earlier scored centuries in the shortest format of the game so far.

The Mumbai-born batter is also the only second Indian to score a century at no.4 or below after KL Rahul, who had also reached the three-figure mark at no.4 against West Indies in Lauderhill.
Suryakumar arrived at the crease when India were reeling at 31/3 in a 216-run chase. However, he remained undeterred by the flurry of wickets, as he forged a record 119-run stand for the fourth wicket with Shreyas Iyer (28) to stabilise the Indian innings.
Yadav's (117 off 55 balls) century went in vain as India could only score 198 for 9 while chasing a huge target of 216. For England, Reece Topley (3/22) was the most successful bowler. David Willey and Chris Jordan took two wickets each while Richard Gleeson and Moeen Ali got one apiece. Opting to bat, England posted 215 for 7, with Dawid Malan top-scoring with a 39-ball 77. Liam Livingstone and Jason Roy chipped in with 42 not out and 27 respectively.
