ENG vs IND, 2nd ODI: India are currently leading the series 1-0 after their thumping win at The Oval. India haven't beaten England in an ODI at the Lord's since 2004.

India are scheduled to lock horns with England in the second game of the three-match ODI series on Thursday, July 13 at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

India, led by Rohit Sharma, got off to a splendid start after beating England by 10 wickets on Tuesday, July 12 at the Kennington Oval in London.

England registered their lowest ODI score against the Men in Blue after getting bowled out for 110 in less than 26 overs. Barring Jos Buttler, who scored in the 30s, none of the English batters put up a fight.

Jasprit Bumrah produced the best figures against England in ODIs by Indian bowlers to break the backbone of the opposition. Mohammed Shami lent him support as he picked up three wickets, including that of the dangerous Buttler.

Later, Rohit Sharma’s unbeaten 76-run knock helped India chase the target down with 188 balls to spare. The skipper and Shikhar Dhawan stitched together an unbeaten 114-run stand.

Ahead of the upcoming match, it’s pertinent to note that India have not beaten England in ODIs at Lord’s since September 2004. In their last meeting back in July 2018, the Three Lions defeated India by 86 runs at the Home of Cricket.

Joe Root scored an unbeaten 116-ball 113, laced with eight fours and one six, helping England post 322. Thereafter, the hosts bowled India out for 236.
