New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell apologized to a fan after his six landed straight into her beer mug. Mitchell also ensured that she was provided a replacement drink.
New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell played a brilliant 81-run knock for the Tom Latham-side on Day 1 of the second Test against England in Nottingham. Mitchell was looking to score at every opportunity off the spinners and his six-off England spinner Jack Leach landed straight into a spectator's pint of beer.

In the video shared by England Cricket, England pacer Matthew Potts could be seen gesturing to his teammates on the field that the ball landed in a fan's beer mug. Later, the woman, Susan, was offered a replacement drink by the New Zealand side, as confirmed by the Barmy Army on social media with the pictures.
After the day's play, Mitchell went to meet Susan to apologise for hitting straight into her beer glass while asking if they got her a replacement and she was quick to confirm that.
Daryl Mitchell (81) and Tom Blundell (67) will resume their bid to press for a series-leveling victory when the second day's play begins. The fifth-wicket partnership between them is already worth 149 runs and New Zealand would expect them to consolidate their position with a big first-innings total after losing the toss and being put in to bat.
New Zealand cruised to 318/4 from 87 overs at the end of the opening day of the second test against England at Trent Bridge on Friday.
