Elon Musk's Mom Hit With Blunt Community Note On X After Encouraging Voter Fraud

Maye Musk swiped at Democrats and urged people to vote multiple times under fake names.

Maye Musk, mother of billionaire X owner Elon Musk, was fact-checked on her son’s social media platform after she encouraged Americans to vote fraudulently.

“The Democrats have given us another option. You don’t have to register to vote. On Election Day, have 10 fake names, go to 10 polling booths and vote 10 times. That’s 100 votes, and it’s not illegal. Maybe we should work the system too,” she wrote Saturday on X, the site formerly known as Twitter.

She was sharing a tweet from her son encouraging people to register to vote.

X users added context to her post with a community note that read, “This is, in fact, illegal.” It included a link to the federal code prohibiting voting more than once and falsifying information when voting. Both are punishable by a fine of up to $10,000 and imprisonment of up to five years.
