Elon Musk decides not to join Twitter board

Elon Musk, Twitter Inc's biggest shareholder, has decided not to join the social media company's board, the company's Chief Executive Parag Agrawal said in a tweet on Monday, April 11, 2022.
“Elon’s appointment to the Board was to become officially effective 4/9 (9th April), but Elon shared that the same morning that he will no longer be joining the Board”, the statement from Mr. Agrawal said.
Terming Mr. Musk as the biggest shareholder, Mr. Agrawal said the Board will remain open to his input.
“There will be distractions ahead, but our goals and priorities remain unchanged”, the statement added.
Mr. Musk had on Saturday suggested changes to Twitter Blue premium subscription service, including slashing its price, banning advertising and giving an option to pay in the cryptocurrency dogecoin
