The ECB's statement comes in the wake of several old tweets of England players containing racist and sexist content surfacing in recent days.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said on Saturday it will review players' social media to address historical issues and remind them of their responsibilities. The ECB's statement comes in the wake of several old tweets of England players containing racist and sexist content surfacing in recent days. "A meeting of the ECB Board took place on Wednesday June 9 to address the emergence of historical social media content, shared by high-profile players within the game," said the ECB. "The Board reiterated its aspiration to become a more inclusive and welcoming sport for all, an aspiration that is severely diminished whilst discriminatory content remains in the social media space," it further said.
