E. Jean Carroll seeks new damages against Trump after CNN town hall

Author E. Jean Carroll is filing papers to seek new damages against former President Donald Trump after saying comments he made at a town hall following his being found liable for sexual abuse and defamation were also disparaging.
That lawsuit was the second one she had filed against Trump. She filed an amended complaint Monday in the first lawsuit, originally filed in 2019, which is still pending. Carroll is asking for "very substantial" damages because of his comments about Carroll during a CNN town hall earlier this month.

The Trump administration deployed ICE and other Homeland Security agents to 14 of the nation's airports on Monday to help shuttle passengers through overcrowded TSA checkpoints.
