Dutch armed forces have been deployed to the Caribbean island territory of Bonaire, with Amsterdam intent on cleaning oil from beaches impacted by a spill hundreds of miles away.
"The situation seems to be under control," acting Lt. Gov. Reynolds Oleana said Thursday. "It remains to be seen what will happen in the coming days."
