
DU mulls introducing internal assessment in distance learning programmes

Distance learning programmes at Delhi University will undergo internal assessment in the current academic session.
From the current academic session, Delhi University plans to introduce internal assessment in distance learning programmes.
The School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education was not subject to internal assessment until now.
According to the agenda accessed by PTI, a resolution on this subject will be presented to the Executive Council at its meeting on Thursday.
The Executive Council is the highest decision-making body of the university.
The Distance Education Bureau, UGC (University Grant Commission) requires continuous assessment in all open and distance learning programs, according to the agenda.
As the internal Assessment scheme has been made mandatory by the DEB-UGC, it has to be implemented in all the programmes being offered by the School of Open Learning (SOL), Distance and Continuing Education, Campus of Open Learning from the academic session 2022- 23, the university said.
