
DSEU seating strength to increase by 800 as 6 new campuses to be added

DSEU plans to open six new campuses, raising seat capacity by 800.
Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University Vice-Chancellor Neharika Vohra said on Wednesday that the varsity will be adding 6 new campuses, increasing its seat strength by 800 seats. Speaking to the news agency PTI, the VC stated, “In the first batch started last year, 6,000 students, including those on diploma programmes, were admitted. We have 35 different programmes in total.”
She went on to inform that the varsity established in 2020 is going to admit 7000 in the current year.
DSEU VC Neharika Vohra further said, “We have 15 campuses at present and six more campuses are being readied to be taken over. They are small campuses.”
“We are increasing around 800 seats in total this academic year. Last year, we admitted 6,000 students and this year we will have 6,800 to 7000,” she added.
Explaining about the new programmes, VC Neharika Vohra stated that two UG programmes concerning emergency medical technology and dialysis technology have begun.
The VC went on to inform that apart from this, four new bachelor’s programmes will start by the end of this year.
DSEU VC Neharika Vohra informed, “Both the courses have 60 seats each. Their classes will begin in June. We are also starting four other bachelor’s programmes, including Bachelor in Hospital Management, Bachelor in Optometry and Bachelor in Autosales.”
